A large archeological site of the ancient city Tel Hazor with remains of a gate, palace & water system.
The ancient city dates back to the Canaanite period (part of the egyptian empire) but the remains seen today are from the Israelite period that were built around the same time as Meggido and Gezer. The impressive water system is the highlight of the site.
A great location and easy to combine with other attractions in the area. 1-2 hours are more than enough to enjoy the place.
